CLONING

CLONING

over time we have heard about cloning, but really that is the cloning, is successfully done something successfully is successfully performed in humans or animals or both, these are just some of the questions that come to mind about this topic.

Cloning is known as cloning process to achieve to make identical copies of cells, molecules and / or agency through its DNA.

when cloning is achieved should keep several things in mind...

  • the first thing is to be cloned cells because you can not make or part of any organ clone or if you do not have such celelas that form the body.

  • the second, as cloning responds to an interest in obtaining a copy of a particular organism, an adult organism and is needed because, just being at maturity is to know the characteristics of that organism.

  • thirdly, as it is created asexually. Sexual reproduction impossible to obtain identical copies, since this type of reproduction by nature generates multiple diversity.

a case of known cloning was the sheep Dolly, who was the first mammal created starting from an adult cell and not only that but its creators managed to create a cell specialized for a particular tissue (mammary gland) which until then is not thought possible. at that time it was thought possible using a cell not SPECIALTY bone embryonic cell.

its creators were scientists at the Roslin Institute in Edinburgh (Scotland), Ian Wilmut and Keith Campbell. sheep born on July 5, 1996 and died on 14 February 2003. dolly had a really short life because this type of sheep live around 11-12 years. her six years of life February 14, 2003 dolly was sacrificed due to a kind of lung cancer called Jaagsiekte common in sheep.

Currently there are many research to achieve human cloning successfully and is that not only would be achieved clone a body as you know but through this research to achieve treat disease.

said that a team led by a scientist from Russia Shoukhrat Mitalipov has managed to produce human stem cells by transferring the nucleus. from skin cells, which have become embryonic stem cells capable of developing into any type of cell in the body.

this finding could be the start to treat some diseases by replacing damaged cells caused by an injury or some condition. among which are, Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, or some injuries of the spinal cord. with the discovery of these scientists can improve disease suffered by millions of people.
